Refund & cancellation policy

Prepared 17 October 2026 · Effective from Monday 19 October 2026

Proposed handling of failed packs, consumer remedies, refunds and plan cancellations. This is a proposed policy, not legal advice or a statement that the service is legally compliant. It must be approved and completed before it is relied on.

Before publication

  • Obtain Australian legal review of the commercial terms before the paid launch. The owner has supplied the registered name Allinta Rose, ABN 25 656 421 718, the business address 5/56 McLay Street, Coorparoo QLD 4151 and the effective date 19 October 2026.
  • The contact email hello@applycoach.com.au has been confirmed by the owner; keep the mailbox active and monitored.
  • Approve the voluntary refund offer, response times and exact subscription rules before paid launch; payments remain deferred.

1. Scope and current payment status

This policy covers Apply Coach application packs and plans when payment services are enabled. Payments are currently deferred. A free CV check has no purchase price to refund. The operator is Allinta Rose, operating Apply Coach, ABN 25 656 421 718. Effective date: Monday 19 October 2026.

Read this with the Terms of Service. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and other applicable laws are not excluded, restricted or replaced by this policy.

2. Your Australian consumer rights

Services must meet applicable consumer guarantees, including due care and skill, fitness for a purpose made known where applicable, and supply within an agreed or otherwise reasonable time.

For a major failure, you may cancel the service and obtain a refund for the unused portion, or keep it and seek compensation for reduced value. If a minor failure can be remedied, we generally have an opportunity to fix it within a reasonable time. If it is not fixed, further remedies may be available. You may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss.

We will assess the actual issue rather than treating every complaint as change of mind. A lack of an interview or job offer alone does not establish a service failure, but inaccurate work, missing promised inclusions, misleading representations or a failure to supply may give rise to rights.

You do not have to accept a credit or revision instead of a refund where the law entitles you to a refund. The included revision window is not a deadline for statutory claims.

3. Failed generation, missing delivery and errors

If generation fails, the service is designed to return the consumed pack credit. If it has not returned, contact support with the pack reference so we can investigate and restore the entitlement where appropriate.

A returned credit is a technical recovery step, not the only remedy available for a paid service. If an accepted order is not delivered, notify us. We will investigate, provide an appropriate correction or delivery option where lawful, and refund amounts or provide other remedies where required.

For a duplicate, incorrect or unauthorised charge, provide the transaction reference and amount through the confirmed support channel. We will investigate with the payment provider. Never send a full card number or security code.

4. Change of mind and work already started

Australian consumer law does not generally require a refund solely because you change your mind when the service meets the applicable guarantees. That is different from a defective or misdescribed service.

[OWNER APPROVAL REQUIRED: set any voluntary change-of-mind offer, including the treatment of unused paid credits, orders cancelled before work starts and partially completed work. No blanket “all sales final” or unapproved cancellation fee is introduced by this draft.] Any voluntary conditions must be disclosed before purchase and cannot limit statutory remedies.

5. Human review and revisions

The advertised Coach Reviewed pack includes human review, delivery within two business days and one reasonable revision for the same advertised role requested within seven days of delivery. The turnaround arrangements require operational confirmation before paid launch.

Use the pack’s revision-request option for the included revision. A request for a different role or materially new scope can be separately quoted; corrections required to meet consumer guarantees are not automatically charged as a new pack.

If promised review or delivery is missing, tell us what was not supplied. We will assess it under the applicable guarantees, not simply refuse a remedy because an AI draft exists or the revision period has ended.

6. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

When plans are enabled, recurring charges and cancellation arrangements must be disclosed before subscription. Cancel through billing management where available or contact confirmed support if it is unavailable. Cancellation is intended to stop future renewal charges; it does not automatically refund a correctly supplied current billing period.

[BEFORE PAID LAUNCH: confirm the renewal cut-off, cancellation confirmation, continuing access, credit expiry/rollover, any pause option and the treatment of unused prepaid entitlements.] Statutory refunds and remedies remain available regardless of these plan rules.

We will not make cancellation conditional on a sales call or impose an undisclosed cancellation fee. Report a charge taken contrary to a valid cancellation for investigation and correction.

7. Agency-funded packs

If an agency paid for your access, contact us about a failed or defective pack and let the agency know where relevant. Credit restoration and any monetary refund must be reconciled with the agency’s payment and agreement; a job seeker is not promised a cash refund of a price they did not pay. Applicable rights of the purchaser and user remain unaffected.

8. How to request a remedy

Contact hello@applycoach.com.au and include your account email, order or pack reference, the issue, the remedy requested and relevant evidence such as a screenshot. A reasonable alternative proof of purchase may be accepted; a particular receipt format is not the sole means of establishing a purchase.

We may ask for the information reasonably needed to investigate, but not irrelevant personal information. We will explain the assessment and any proposed remedy. [BEFORE PUBLICATION: approve a realistic complaint-response target and payment-processing estimate; no unverified turnaround guarantee is stated here.]

Where a monetary refund is due, it will normally be made to the original payment method, unless an alternative is agreed or required. We do not deduct an administrative fee from a statutory refund. Payment-provider processing time is separate from our decision.

9. If the issue remains unresolved

You may seek assistance from your state or territory consumer-protection body, including Queensland’s Office of Fair Trading, or pursue a remedy through a tribunal or court where available. The ACCC provides consumer guidance but does not generally resolve individual disputes.

This process does not remove lawful payment-provider dispute rights or require you to waive a complaint to a regulator. Contacting us first may help resolve the issue but is not represented as a condition that removes statutory rights.
